VMA-Getzmann manufactures explosion proof laboratory dissolvers designed specifically for dispersion work in hazardous areas where ATEX approved equipment is required. All explosion proof dissolvers comply with ATEX Zone 2 certification — Category 3G IIB T3 per Directive 2014/34/EU — and EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EG. The separate control cabinet with power electronics is situated outside the hazardous area, while the dissolver operates safely inside the zone. These units are ideal for paints, coatings, inks, adhesives, pharmaceuticals, and chemical applications requiring safe dispersion of flammable materials.

DISPERMAT® LC25-EX – Compact Explosion Proof Dissolver
Power 0.25 kW, processing volume 0.05-3 liters (low viscosity) / 0.05-1 liters (high viscosity), speeds up to 12,000 rpm. Features mechanical height adjustment, stand H1B, container capacity 0.125-10 liters, clamping range Ø 3-34 cm. Integrated explosion proof controls: ON/OFF switch, potentiometer for infinitely variable speed adjustment. Safety device via container clamping system and working height monitoring. Control cabinet located outside hazardous area. Compatible with modular quick-change systems: APS Bead Mill, TORUSMILL® TML Basket Mill, CDS Vacuum System, SR Rotor-Stator Homogenizer.

DISPERMAT® LC75-EX – Higher Capacity Explosion Proof Dissolver
Power 0.75 kW, processing volume 0.25-10 liters (low viscosity) / 0.25-2.5 liters (high viscosity), speeds up to 12,000 rpm. Features electric height adjustment, stand H2BT, container capacity 0.5-20 liters, central container clamping system with clamping range Ø 5-35 cm. Includes integrated explosion proof safety device per EC directive 2006/42/EC. Integrated controls: ON/OFF switch, potentiometer for speed adjustment, and switch for electric height adjustment. Control cabinet located outside hazardous area. Compatible with APS Bead Mill, TORUSMILL® TML Basket Mill, CDS Vacuum System, SR Rotor-Stator Homogenizer.

ATEX Certification & Safety Features
Both DISPERMAT® LC-EX models are certified for ATEX Zone 2 (Category 3G IIB T3). DISPERMAT® LC-EX dissolvers can be equipped with modular quick-change systems: APS Bead Mill (closed batch bead milling for hazardous areas), TORUSMILL® TML Basket Mill (efficient fine grinding system), CDS Vacuum Dispersion System (dispersion under vacuum in closed systems), and SR Rotor-Stator Homogenizer (high-shear mixing for emulsifying and homogenizing).
