Spectro2 Profiler is a portable BYK-Gardner instrument designed to measure color, gloss, reflectivity, and 3D surface texture in one device. This instrument helps users evaluate the complete visual appearance of materials, because surface quality is not defined by color alone, but also by gloss level, reflection behavior, and texture structure such as grain, leather-like surfaces, or molded textures.

In modern quality control, color measurement alone is often not enough to evaluate visual agreement between a sample and a standard. Spectro2 Profiler combines 45/0 color measurement, 60° gloss measurement, 2D reflectivity measurement, and 3D surface topography analysis to provide objective data on color, gloss, texture depth, and surface characteristics. With this combination, appearance evaluation becomes more accurate, repeatable, and easier to compare across batches and production locations.

Spectro2 Profiler is highly suitable for automotive interiors, plastics, textured surfaces, injection molded parts, slush molded parts, coated parts, and materials with complex surface structures. The instrument uses 3D topography analysis to evaluate cell size and perceived cell amplitude, while 2D reflectivity helps identify appearance differences between hills and valleys on textured surfaces.
