spectra pro Light Booth is a professional BYK-Gardner light booth designed for critical visual color evaluation under standardized lighting conditions. This instrument helps users compare samples and standards more consistently, making it highly useful for color matching, color approval, metamerism checks, quality control, and color communication between laboratories, production teams, suppliers, and customers.
In visual color evaluation, metamerism can cause two colors to appear identical under one light source but different under another. spectra pro Light Booth helps reduce this risk by providing multiple illuminants, including daylight D65, incandescent A, Horizon, CWF, TL84, U30, and UV. With class A D65 daylight simulation, color evaluation can be performed under more accurate and repeatable lighting conditions.
spectra pro Light Booth uses a combination of filtered tungsten-halogen lamps and LEDs to deliver stable daylight simulation. The system also includes automatic UV adjustment when D65 is selected, lamp condition display for lux, color temperature, and remaining lamp life, plus automatic sequencing and remote control for easier color evaluation.
