INMONT FILM GAGE
BYK-Gardner INMONT Film Gage
BYK-Gardner INMONT Film Gage is a wheel-type wet film thickness gauge used to measure the thickness of coatings, inks, varnishes, and other applied film materials while they are still wet. This tool is especially useful for thin film applications that require more accurate thickness control, particularly in coating and printing processes where direct measurement during application is required.
In coating and printing production, wet film thickness measurement helps ensure that the wet layer is applied according to target thickness before drying or curing. INMONT Film Gage works with an eccentric inner wheel supported by two outer wheels. When the gage is rolled over a wet surface, the inner wheel touches and picks up the wet film at a specific point, allowing the film thickness to be read from the available scale.
BYK-Gardner INMONT Film Gage is available in several models: Model S for general use, Model R with a rotating scale for easier reading, and Model L with a low inertia rotating scale for thin film applications. This product features durable stainless steel construction, easy cleaning, metric or mils versions, suitability for moving surfaces, and compliance with ASTM D1212 and ISO 2808 test methods.
