Film Casting Knife
Film Casting Knife is a BYK-Gardner adjustable film applicator used to create film applications of coatings, paints, inks, varnishes, adhesives, and other liquid materials with precisely adjustable thickness. This applicator helps users produce uniform and repeatable drawdown films on test charts, panels, or flat substrates for R&D laboratory and quality control applications.
In paint application testing, adjustable gap flexibility is important because each coating formulation may require a different application thickness.
