Byko-spectra Effect
Byko-spectra effect
Byko-spectra effect is a BYK-Gardner multi-angle light booth designed specifically for visual evaluation of metallic colors, pearlescent colors, and effect finishes. This instrument helps users assess color changes by viewing angle, light-dark flop, sparkle, and other visual characteristics commonly found in coatings based on metallic or effect pigments.
In metallic color and effect finish evaluation, color appearance can change significantly depending on viewing angle and lighting conditions. Byko-spectra effect provides daylight color evaluation at six viewing angles: -15°, 15°, 25°, 45°, 75°, and 110°, helping visual assessment align more closely with the geometry of multi-angle color measurement instruments.
Byko-spectra effect also supports sparkle evaluation using direct illumination at 15°, 45°, and 75°. The very bright LED system helps simulate the impression of direct sunlight, allowing users to evaluate sparkle and effect finish appearance more consistently. This product is suitable for automotive coatings, industrial coatings, effect pigment evaluation, supplier approval, color matching, and quality control of metallic and pearlescent finishes.
