BYK-mac i ROBOTIC
BYK-mac i ROBOTIC is a BYK-Gardner multi-angle spectrophotometer designed for automated color and effect measurement directly on the production line. The instrument is mounted on a robotic arm, enabling consistent total color control on metallic, pearlescent, and effect finishes, especially for automotive applications that require high-volume measurement on the same defined areas.
In automotive coatings and effect finish production, color consistency depends strongly on process stability. BYK-mac i ROBOTIC helps measure multi-angle color, light-dark flop, color flop, sparkle, and graininess routinely and objectively. The robotic system ensures measurements are taken on consistent areas, making data easier to compare across units, batches, and production processes.
BYK-mac i ROBOTIC uses a light source with long-term stability and patented illumination control to provide high accuracy with low maintenance requirements. The instrument supports stable long-term calibration required only every three months, temperature-stable measurement results from 10 - 40°C without recalibration, and additional sensors for fluorescent light detection through the Intensity Emission value. This product is suitable for automated quality control, production monitoring, supplier approval, and color mismatch analysis on effect coatings.
