Our Eastman resin portfolio includes cellulose esters (CAB, CA, CAP) that improve drying time, flow, leveling, gloss, and rheology control in coating formulations. Key products include CAB-381-0.1 (low viscosity for high-solids coatings), CA-398-3 (high strength, UV and heat resistance), CAP-482-0.5 (fast solvent release for printing inks and overprint varnishes), and CAP-482-20 (higher viscosity for film formation). These cellulose esters are derived from renewable resources with bio-content values up to 55%.

Eastman also offers AQ™ 55S sulfopolyester which disperses in hot water without surfactants and forms clear films at room temperature — ideal for water-based coatings, packaging inks, and personal care applications requiring water and smudge resistance.
