Songwon Secondary Antioxidants

Songwon Secondary Antioxidants are polymer stabilizer products designed to help protect materials from degradation during thermal processing, compounding, fabrication, and end-use applications. Secondary antioxidants help decompose hydroperoxides formed during oxidation, supporting better colour stability, melt flow, and consistent material performance.

 

In polymer formulations, secondary antioxidants such as phosphites and thioesters are commonly used together with primary antioxidants to deliver synergistic performance. This combination helps improve process stability, colour protection, long-term heat stability, and protection against oxidative degradation in substrates such as polyolefins, engineering plastics, elastomers, coatings, adhesives, and other industrial applications.

 

SONGNOX 1680 is a phosphite-based secondary antioxidant for plastics. It is used to support processing stability and colour protection during plastic processing, especially in applications requiring efficient and consistent antioxidant performance.

 

SONGNOX 6260 is a high performance phosphite-based secondary antioxidant for plastics. It helps provide melt flow protection and colour protection during thermal processing, and is often used with hindered phenol antioxidants for optimized stabilization performance.

 

SONGNOX 6280 is a phosphite-based secondary antioxidant consisting of SONGNOX 6260 and hydrotalcite. It is designed to provide colour stability, protection during compounding and fabrication, and good performance in polyolefins, elastomers, and engineering plastics.
